Enhancing cooperation among the Prague Process states

On 8 November, the Prague Process supported the Republic of Moldova in organising a seminar aimed at discussing and validating the Extended Migration Profile (EMP) for 2015-2017. The meeting took place in Chisinau and gathered all actors involved in the drafting of the Statistical Compendium of the EMP and members of the designated inter-agency technical working group. The participants discussed the current data and how the EMP could best contribute to using the evidence available for improving national policies. The EMP elaboration process is guided by the  Bureau for Migration and Asylum under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The aim is to present a comprehensive overview on recent and ongoing migration trends, assessing the various effects and arising risks of migration in order to issue policy recommendations and thereby enhance the identification of effective policy responses.
