Enhancing cooperation among the Prague Process states

Prague Process Targeted Initiative Objective 2 workshop on “Applied Knowledge in a Migration Policy Dialog: data collection, exchange and application” took place in Lisbon on February 12-13, 2015.

The discussion has brought together representatives of migration authorities of 13 states, namely Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the ICMPD, EUROMED Migration III, Frontex, and IOM.

During the workshop, the participants discussed the future of the Prague Process Knowledge base on migration and the i-Map, https://www.imap-migration.org/.

Various visions regarding the enhancement of these dissemination tools were put forward. The results of the discussion will lay grounds for an informed decision on the future direction of the Knowledge base at the Senior Officials Meeting, which will take place in Budapest on July 6-7, 2015.
