New infographic presents Russia’s migration policy

The poster presents the migration situation of Russia, an important immigration country in the region, which thus determines migration trends across the post-Soviet region.

Specifically, the poster presents the situation in the most relevant migration-related spheres and the State Concept of Migration Policy of the Russian Federation towards 2025. The State Concept of Migration Policy of the Russian Federation towards 2025, Russia’s official migration policy document, defines and further elaborates state policies in migration-related fields. As such, the Concept is a timely response to demographic, economic and other challenges that the country is likely to face in the future. The infographic also reflectsthe detailed analysis of the situation and trends that were summarised in ICMPD Working Paper No. 7: Changing Migration Realities: Why Migration between the EU, Russia and the Eastern Neighbourhood Will Change, which was published in October 2014 and based on information collected by ICMPD, the European-Russian Integration Policies project (ERIS) and the Prague Process Targeted Initiative Objective 2 – Knowledge base. The poster is available in English and Russian here.
