Join us for the upcoming Prague Process webinar “Skills Mobility Partnerships across the Prague Process region” on Thursday, 8 October 2026, from 10:30 to 12:00 CEST.
In this webinar, Laetitia Hohwieler and Caitlin Katsiaficas will present findings from a new Prague Process research product mapping and analysing government-to-government initiatives that combine mobility and skilling components and involve selected non-EU Prague Process participating states in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. They will highlight how these partnerships are designed, the sectors they target, and how they combine labour mobility with training, language learning, apprenticeships, and other skills development measures. Haben Gedremedhin from the German Federal Employment Agency will complement the research findings with insights from Germany’s practical experience with Skills Mobility Partnerships, including cooperation with Uzbekistan on the recruitment of skilled workers. Together, the speakers will discuss emerging trends, practical lessons, and how SMPs can support mutually beneficial labour mobility and skills development outcomes.
