Webinars
As countries grapple with labour shortages, skills mismatches, and demographic change, Skills Mobility Partnerships (SMPs) are gaining attention as a way to link legal migration opportunities with skills development while responding to labour market needs in countries of origin and destination.
In this webinar, Laetitia Hohwieler and Caitlin Katsiaficas present findings from a Prague Process study of government-to-government initiatives combining mobility and skills development in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. Haben Gedremedhin from the German Federal Employment Agency shares Germany’s practical experience, including cooperation with Uzbekistan. Together, the speakers discuss key trends and lessons for developing mutually beneficial SMPs.
The webinar was moderated by Irina Lysak, Project Manager at the Prague Process Secretariat, ICMPD.
